Sharp, fiery, provocative: whether designed to overthrow a political regime, promote the artistic avant-garde or blow up patriarchy, the manifesto has been the ideal literary vehicle to bring about revolutionary change. Its enduring appeal lies as much in its expressive impact, its agitprop sexiness as in its declamatory quality. This workshop sets out to ally collective writing with performance for a queer, passionate feast of words.
David Le Guillermic
David is an author and freelance cultural writer for the French press. Originally from the Paris peripheries, he moved to London in his early twenties where he studied graphic and web design and got involved in the world’s first-ever LBGT picture agency whilst volunteering in HIV/hate crime prevention campaigns. Living in Berlin since 2004, he has mainly worked as a translator and focused on literary projects dealing with topics close to his heart: urban space, social issues, gender politics and the transmission of queer history.
David is one of the three Movie Night curators and expanded the Village’s literary offer by initiating the monthly Open Writing Circle.
