In this workshop‘s contact improvisation exercises, we’ll work with the elasticity of our bodies‘ skin, or more precisely with that of the connective tissue underneath it. Directing our attention to this particularly delicious aspect, we’ll naturally and effortlessly conjur up deeply felt connections with others which may lead us into very expressive and sensual dances. This profound inter-connectedness will be palpable, because it is rooted in our actual physicality. And yet, we’ll be surprised that our connections with others can go that far underneath our skin!
Ralf Jaroschinski
Ralf Jaroschinski was born in Southern Germany and grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He trained to become a dancer in Hannover, Germany, and New York, USA. He works as a dancer, choreographer and dance instructor since over 30 years. Since about 20 years, he focuses on contact improvisation and facilitates this technique in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2009, he developed „sensual contact improvisation“ in San Francisco and has facilitated several workshops and class series in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain the US and Peru.
