Yes Father: introduction to religious roleplay

Faith or religion is something many of us have experienced as a source of trauma as well as joy. As a powerful influence in our lives it can feel taboo to play with, and therefore can create a rich emotional and embodied play landscape. Religious fantasies may include feelings of guilt, chastity, sin, ritual, devotion and forgiveness, as well as secret desires and punishment. We will explore the range of roles and props that can be used in religious roleplay and consider how to negotiate a scene, including respecting religious traditions.
