B.D.S.M. is a deliberately playful partner and solo dancing reclaiming of an acronym that, in this context, stands for Bachata, Dembow, Salsa, and Merengue, four vibrant rhythmic languages of the body. With B.D.S.M., we center the ways in which music and movement inform queer masculine expression, connection, and community. Rather than referencing any traditional fetish framework, B.D.S.M. here is a framework for embodied dancing liberation. These genres are layered with electronic elements to create an immersive dance environment where participants are invited to explore connection with self, with others, and with community.
