If you wonder whether opera is for you, this workshop will use words and musical examples to help you decide. The theme is opera's dramatic and emotional impact, but trying to show that this can cover much more than traditional diva stereotypes. I’ll also share some singers and recordings that move me to tears. There may even be a digression or two into queer resonances in some of the works.

David Wilson Opera
David gave up full-time employment as a civil servant in 2017 and is now much happier working as a freelance consultant on public policy issues. He is originally from Northern Ireland but has lived in London since the 1980s. He is an amateur music enthusiast, with a particular interest in making classical music accessible without dumbing it down.
