Conversational Cruising is a practice of activating the architecture of cruising to facilitate everyday conversations among exceptional people. From the woods to the boardroom, the history of cruising. Its choreography and its practices increase our attention to non-verbal cues.
In this workshop we will use eye contact and communication to better learn how to hold our attention everyday. How to use the same principles found in cruising to create extraordinary conversational habits.
BOOKDADDY (Jos McKain)
J.L. McKain is a Berlin-based Romani American choreographer, director, and writer whose work operates at the intersection of performance, cinema, and critical text. Trained in fine arts, film, and choreography, McKain’s practice merges research, embodiment, and narrative design to explore how bodies perform survival under conditions of extremity, precarity, and transformation. Using autofiction and speculative myth-making, their work transforms lived experience into choreographic and cinematic architectures that oscillate between ritual, satire, and social inquiry.
