"Masking" is the act of hiding ones true feelings, natural behaviours, or personal traits to fit in and meet social expectations. The term is mostly associated with neurodivergence, though, to some extend, we all do it. With gender, passing is often assumed to be something positive, but passing can also be a product of masking. Through a mix of reflection and somatic exercises, we'll explore the ways we regulate gendered expressions, often without being aware of it.
