Identity in Moment with Bence Gáspár

WS_David-Weissman.jpg

From a political perspective, identity can help oppressed social groups gain more rights and freedom. From a Buddhist perspective, the self doesn’t exist, and our identification with it is the source of our suffering. From a traditional Western psychological perspective, we need to maintain a strong self in order to be happy. I invite you to a communal movement exploration to see which of the above views is in foreground for you at the moment, what parts of your life you identify with, and what is in flux.

Open Floor embodied mindfulness teacher, biologist • From Budapest, Hungary • Studied economics, critical social theory, biology • PhD in Tübingen, Germany, in evolutionary ecology • Dancing, meditating, hiking, cycling, walking, yoga, nature.
I weave critical social theory, evolutionary biology, and an ecological perspective into our shared embodied mindfulness practice, which is usually fun and serious at the same time. With a similarly broad musical palette, I aim to give space for an exploration through movement as diverse as possible.

Dating and Relating with Walter Kaul

WS_David-Weissman.jpg

This workshop offers speed-dating as a series of communication exercises. This approach is meant to break routine ways of introducing one another. Instead, we want to focus on authentic communication. And add some gamification. Science tells us, that men base their dating choices mainly on the partners’ physical attractiveness. But a successful matching of dating partners is actually more likely if they have similar short- or long-term interests. Authentic communication can uncover these.

Gal-Naor-3.JPG

Walter is a media producer and media trainer. He believes that in interpersonal conversation, authenticity is a key to establish meaningful connections. Walter holds two Master degrees in communication sciences. And he learned somatic methods at the Somatic Academy of Berlin.

Genital self gazing and compassionate witnessing with Ayo Gry

WS_David-Weissman.jpg

Compassionate witnessing, caring holding, somatic describing, present breathing, charmingly moving and healthy stretching, we allow our genitals to enter a space of nonsense beyond the conventional gaze and expectation of performing.
Warning: What might happen is a deconstruction of gender as binary, a sense of connection to a warm stream of love to the heart and new paths to approach queer sexuality.
Be as naked or clothed as you wish. Shyness, doubt and insecurities are welcomed. Nakedness and self touch is appreciated.

Gal-Naor-3.JPG

Ayo Gry (they/them) is educated in Sexological Bodywork and Mind/Body Therapy. They are co-founder of Skinship_Berlin - a touch based place for kinship, where they facilitate embodied processes for individuals, couples and groups. Fake Healing with Jo Koppe and Jorge De Hoyos

WS_David-Weissman.jpg

Fake Healing is an exchange that prioritizes deep listening, improvisation and collaboration, it was brought into the contemporary queer dance and performance world by Keith Hennessy and is inspired by Valentina Desideri’s Fake Therapy and Jennifer Lacey’s Fake Art Therapy. Keith writes about it: “Fake Healing is a kind of joke that just might work. Torture is everywhere, so healing needs to be queerly re-imagined for the current era.”

Gal-Naor-3.JPG

Jorge De Hoyos is a contemporary dancer, performer and choreographer from California, based in Berlin since 2012. He loves to channel sexual and sensual energy when he warms up to dance… it is a potent and grounding way to connect to his own body and joyful when he can share this on the gogo platform, in a rehearsal room, a stage or on the dance floor.

Jo Koppe is on an ongoing journey of weaving, integrating and sharing a variety of different experiences, practices and perspectives. He has a background in dance as well as in Sociology and Gender studies. He has worked as a performer and dramaturg, in social justice education, as a tantra masseur, as a personal assistant for differently abled people, and in end of life care. He has been initiated into the “natural religion of being trans” and thus “almost automatically being a witch” (says Anohni).

This will focus on the spiritual so there will be no pain or S&M involved. Beginners and those who are curious are very much welcomed.

Gal-Naor-3.JPG

PUSSiiiy gAyZing fOr gAyZzzz with Skinship

WS_David-Weissman.jpg

This is the anatomy class you've been waiting for. Often we find ourselves curious for other genital formations then our own, but we miss the oppurtunity for social situation in which we can explore this in a peacefull_safe_non-judgemental_expectations-free_fun and connective way. In a form of a playful peep-show we learn about the anatomy of the vulva (Assigned Female At Birth) and hear personal stories of their (self)pleasure. Workshop based on our personal story and we would love to share it with you.
